You may think things have been a little quiet with regards to veggie bites recently – don’t be fooled! I have still been eating out, just haven’t really been anywhere new and I decided it is a complete waste of time to write reviews for places that I have already been so many times! I did, however, finally go somewhere new! A friend and I have been trying to catch up for ages – we used to have regular lunches, but we have both been so busy that it has been impossible, so we finally decided that the only option for a catch up chat was to go out for dinner. We had the entertainment book out and had decided on somewhere, but when we got there it wasn’t there, so we headed into Braddon to see what took our fancy, and this place did just that. Both my friend and I are potato heads, so deciding on entrees was fairly easy – we had the potatoes, as well as some pan fried haloumi – both were delicious – two of my favourite things – cheese and potatoes! I also ordered some garlic bread which arrived a little burnt around the edges, but it was pretty good too. For our mains, I ordered spanikopita and my friend ordered the veal casserole. The spanikopita came with salad which contained a lot of red onion, but had a very nice dressing. The spanikopita itself was pretty nice – sometimes I find that this has a slightly funny taste, but this one was really nice! We ate so much food that we couldn’t finish everything, but it was all very yummy. I think I will head back here soon.
