The Green Herring

Yet again we started with the pumpkin and sweet potato soup and it was as good as ever… so good in fact, that I have since tried making my own version – yum! Anyway, my friend decided that she really wanted dessert, so opted to skip a main meal, however I preferred a main instead of dessert! My main was the home made saffron noodles with a creamy gin and something sauce. It also came with Asian greens and (I think) leeks. It was incredibly delicious! I would definitely order that again. My friend’s dessert was a chocolate and whisky cheesecake which she insisted that I taste and I have to say it wasn’t bad. Not being a fan of whisky, it is something that I would never have ordered myself, however the whisky was not the prevalent flavour. Since we were being a little weird and not ordered the same types of meals, we were asked if we wanted the cheesecake and the noodles to come out at the same time, which we did. This is something that I love about this place – they are very considerate and willing to change things to make your meal enjoyable!
